in a fast pace - give me what I want NOW! credit card, instant gratification, fast food society it is hard to understand the concept of investing.  And I’m not just talking about money.  Each day I am faced with hundreds of decisions.  And with each decision I have a choice to invest.  I can choose to invest in that which is eternal, or that which is temporal.

The only things that last forever are God and people.

When I love God I choose to invest my thoughts on Him, heaven, joy, love, ect.  It means rejecting negative, ungrateful, materialistic thoughts.

When I love God I love people.  That means continuously putting their needs above my own, not considering my own rights, finding joy in their gain.  And doing all I can to show them Christ if they don’t already know Him.

And in the most mundane expression it means putting aside the ‘to do’ list to read a book to a 3 year old, thanking God for my ability to fold the laundry (as I fold the laundry), and giving my ‘91 Buick LeSabre a little pat on the trunk for being such a good car.
